Cosa ne dite di bel cover model?

Sinceramente, dopo Nathan Kamp, avrei voluto dedicarmi ad un bel biondone ma poi scuriosando in rete ho incontrato questo bell’uomo e non ho resistito!

E’ un piacere per me presentarvi Mr. Tracy James.

Truly, after Nathan Kamp, I should focus about a nice blond guy but surfing in  to the web I met this beautiful man, and I could not resist. It’s a pleasure introduce you Mr. Tracy James.

 

 

 

La sua carriera inizia alla tenera età di 17 anni, durante il  concorso nazionale per il marchio Clearasil, (ndr: il Clearasil che conosciamo anche noi, quello delle pomate!)

In seguito ha avuto la possibilità di essere fotografato su un famoso calendario americano. Joan Rivers (ndr: famosa presentatrice americana di talk show) ha osservato questa copertina, ed ah deciso di invitare Tracy  al suo talk show. Insieme appariranno sulla copertina di un famoso giornale.

Dopo questa combinazione di eventi Tracy riceve molte proposte di lavoro da diverse riviste di fitness. Da qui inizia la sua carriera, fatta di servizi fotografici, apparizioni video e calendari.

Il suo primo importante contratto di lavoro lo ottiene dalla rivista Cosmopolitan, dove vince il titolo di "Man of the Year". Successivamente lavora come cover model per la collezione intimo di Giorgio Armani.

 

Then he had a chance to be photographed on a famous  american calendar cover.

Joan Rivers has observed this cover and decided to invite Tracy to her talk show. Togheter will appear on a cover of a famous magazine.

His career starts since he was 17 years old, by the national contest for “Clesaril” brand.

After this “events mix” Tracy recive many job offers from several fitness magazines. By this way his career begins, working for photoshoots, video appearances and calendars.

His first main job contract  get from Cosmopolitan magazine, where win the "Man of the Year"  award. Then works as cover model for Giorgio Armani underwear collection.

 

 

Dopo questa “full immersion” nel mondo della moda Tracy vola in Europa dove lavorerà per Valentino, Versace, Adolfo Domingez e con il fotografo Steven Meisel, per la rivista Vogue.

 

After this”full immersion” inside the fashion world Tracy fly to the Europe, where will work for Valentino, Versace and Adolfo Domingez and with photographer Steven Meisel, for Vogue magazine.

 

 

 

 

Una crescita incredibile non trovate?

Ma c’è qualcos’altro oltre al prestigio e i riflettori. Tracy James è sempre attivo nel mondo della beneficenza.

Ha trascorso molto tempo in Africa, dove si è occupato di un progetto di sostegno a favore delle popolazioni povere. Attualmente collabora con molti istituti umanitari, particolarmente dedicati ai bambini orfani.

 

An amazing growth, isn’t it?

But there’s something else over prestige and spotlight: Tracy James is always active in the charity world.

He spent many time in Africa, where he cared an aid project  to poor people.

Currently he collaborate with many charity institutes specially dedicated to orphans children.

NATHAN KAMP, NOT ONLY COVER MODEL

 

 

Nathan Kamp ti guarda dritto negli occhi, capelli scuri, labbra terribilmente sensuali, un naso che farebbe invidia ad un Dio greco e un corpo mozzafiato da far perdere la testa.

E tutto ciò lo è inconsapevolmente, attraverso le numerose cover sulle quali è fotografato. Sì perché a oggi, è il modello più richiesto per le cover dei romanzi tanto che ne vanta più di 150!

Lo abbiamo visto in tutte le salse: dall’indiano, al pirata, al vampiro, al cowboy, dal regency al contemporaneo. E come tutti i buoni condimenti non stanca mai. Non smette mai di farci sognare e per questo ci auguriamo che il numero delle cover possa aumentar e ancora di più.

 

Nathan Kamp looks at you straight in the eyes, dark hair, terribly sensual lips, a nose like a greek God and breathtaking body that makes you lose your head.
And he's all this unconsciously, through all the covers he is photographed in. Yes, because so far he is the most requested cover model for romance novels. Currently his covers are more than 150!
We have seen this guy  in many ways: as Indian, pirate, vampire, cowboy, from regency era settings to contemporary, and he never stop to fascinate. Nathan will always make us dream, so we hope the covers will increase more and more.

 

 

 


Tutta questa bellezza però potrebbe far pensare che non abbia altro da offrire ma invece Nathan Kamp è il figlio che ogni madre vorrebbe e il marito che ognuna di noi desidererebbe. Per darvene una prova vi invito a conoscerlo meglio.Nato e cresciuto a Seattle è il più vecchio di tre fratelli. Appassionato di sport fin dall’infanzia ha praticato basket, tennis, calcio e wrestling. Quest’ultima disciplina lo trasformò in un buon lottatore e lo aiutò  crescere come uomo.

Finito il college partecipò, insieme ad uno dei suoi fratelli, ad un concorso per modelli. Le agenzie di tutto il mondo mostrarono subito interesse nei suoi confronti e soltanto sei settimane più tardi ricevette la sua prima proposta di lavoro a New York. Da quel giorno per Nathan Kamp si aprì una nuova porta che gli offrì la possibilità di viaggiare e di conoscere molte persone, ma non soltanto in veste di modello. A suo credito infatti vanta anche apparizioni in tv e un paio di film. Nonostante questo il bel Nathan non si monta la testa e nell’Ottobre 2000 sposa la sua amica d’infanzia, il suo grande amore, Elisabetta. Successivamente, entrambi si trasferiranno a New York, dove tutt’ora vivono e lavorano.

 

But he has many other qualities besides his beauty. Nathan Kamp is the son that every mother dreams of, and  the husband that eachone of us would like to have. So let’s know him better.

Born and grown in Seattle he is the oldest of three brothers. A sports lover since childwood he  practiced basketball, tennis, football and wrestling. The fighting made him a good athlete and helped him to grow as a man.

After college he participated, with one of his brothers, to a modeling contest. International Agencies immediately showed interest about him, and only six weeks later he received the first job offer in New York. Since that day Nathan Kamp had a new chance to travel and meet many people, but not only as a model. He also made some appearances on TV and in some movies. Despite this our guy “fly down”. So,  in October of 2000, married his childhood girlfriend (the only love of his life), Elisabetta. Later, both moved to New York, where they currently live and work.


 


Non so voi ma io sono rimasta incantata da questa storia romantica e ancora di più lo sono stata quando ho potuto vedere con i miei occhi Elisabetta e Nathan insieme. A fare da contorno a questa bella fiaba, nella vita coniugale il nostro bel modello è anche un cuoco provetto e sul suo sito potrete averne la prova sintonizzandovi su “Live to Eat”, una sorta di live in casa Kamp.

A Nathan piace mangiare, ritiene che l’alimentazione sia il segreto di tutte le relazioni.

“L'alimentazione umana è il comune filo conduttore di tutti i nostri rapporti” sostiene Nathan “Il cibo è veramente il denominatore comune dell'umanità, indipendentemente dallo stile, dal sapore o dall'origine etnica. Tutti abbiamo avuto i nostri momenti magici, quelli che cambiano la vita, quelli che ricordi con maggior affetto. E la maggior parte  di essi sono stati vissuti intorno ad una tavola con la famiglia e gli amici.”


I do not know you but I am still enchanted by his romantic history.  And, with the same  pleasure, I enjoy the life of this wonderful couple. Indeed our beautiful guy is also an excellent cook. You can find out visiting  his website "Live to Eat".

Nathan likes eating and he says that “food is the secret of all relationships”.
"Food is the common thread of all our relationships," says Nathan "The food is really the common denominator of all the humanity, regardless from style, taste or ethnic origin. All we had all our magical moments, those that change our lives, and most were lived around a table with family and friends. "

 

Beh che dire… chi non vorrebbe mangiare con lui?

Cherif made his romance novel cover debut–astride his own Andalusian stallion–on Marsha Canham's THE PRIDE OF LIONS.

Con quei capelli neri fluenti in cui far scorrere le dita, quegli incredibili occhi verdi in cui perdersi e quella dotazione di perfetti pettorali da assaporare, chi può fare a meno di sognare ad occhi aperti?
Cherif ha fatto il suo debutto come modello di copertine a cavallo del suo stallone Andaluso, sul libro di Marsha Canham THE PRIDE OF LIONS.

 


But while those images were impressive–Cherif is really something to look at–some understanding of the man behind them are proof positive that he's a modern-day hero–or as near to a knight as you can get at the end of the 20th century!
Born in Quebec and raised in the Midwest, Cherif effectively became the man of the family at the age of five, when his Algerian father left. Toughened by the loss, Cherif grew to be a star athlete and martial arts practitioner, nourishing his romantic side through an obsession with medieval tales of chivalry and valor.
While in college, Cherif noticed an odd building under construction in his Chicago suburb. When he discovered it was a jousting and tournament arena–Medieval Times–it was all of his passions coming together. The owners wanted experienced performers–experts on horseback–and Cherif had never so much as looked a horse in the eye.

 

Ma anche se quelle immagini sono davvero emozionanti - e Cherif è veramente qualcuno da guardare - quando si arriva a conoscere un po’ meglio l’uomo che c’è dietro di esse si capisce chiaramente che è un eroe d’altri tempi – o comunque quanto di più vicino ad un cavaliere si possa trovare alla fine del ventesimo secolo!

Nato nel Quebec e cresciuto nel Midwest, Cherif è diventato effettivamente l’uomo di casa all’età di cinque anni, quando il suo padre Algerino se n’è andato. Indurito dalla perdita, Cherif crebbe per diventare una star dell’atletica e un professionista delle arti marziali, coltivando il suo lato romantico attraverso un’ossessione per i racconti medievali di cavalleria e valore.

Nel periodo in cui frequentava il college, Cherif notò uno strano edificio in costruzione nel suo quartiere di Chicago. Still, he was determined and strong–and soon he was one of a handful of novices to be accepted. Within a year–and for the following six years–he was the star of the show, performing five nights a week. As he charged at opponents on horseback with a 15-foot lance and engaged in hand-to-hand combat with a sword or deadly axe, audiences ate him up.
One night, photographic illustrator Lynn Sanders sat in one of those audiences, she was bowled over by Cherif's athletic grace; when the two met, she was equally taken by his gentleness and intelligence. Soon he began to model for her–and he took her art in a whole new direction.
So began a collaboration that continues to wow the romance world. In February of 1997 their second cover appeared on Virginia Henley's hardcover A YEAR AND A DAY, and more followed. The two also worked together on the yet-to-be-published PASSION'S BLOOD, a romance that's illustrated with 50 hand-painted portraits.

 

 

Nonostante ciò, era determinato e forte, e presto divenne uno dei primi principianti ad essere accettati. Nell’arco di un anno, e per i seguenti sei, divenne la star dello spettacolo, esibendosi cinque notti la settimana.

Quando caricava il suo avversario con una lancia lunga 4 metri e mezzo e si impegnava in un combattimento con spade e asce mortali, il pubblico se lo mangiava con gli occhi.

Una sera, la fotografa illustratrice Lynn Sanders sedeva tra quel pubblico, e fu colpita dalla grazia atletica di Cherif; quando i due si incontrarono, fu ugualmente impressionata dalla sua gentilezza e intelligenza. In breve, iniziò a posare per lei, e diede alla sua arte una direzione del tutto nuova.

Iniziò così la collaborazione che continua a entusiasmare il mondo del romance. Nel febbraio del 1997 la loro seconda copertina apparve sul libro A YEAR AND A DAY di Virginia Henley, e molte altre seguirono.

I due lavorarono insieme a PASSION’S BLOOD, un romance illustrato con 50 ritratti dipinti.

When Lynn Sanders asked me to describe what it was like to work for her on her Romantic by Design catalog, I was apprehensive.
I'm not saying that I'm not proud of the beautiful images that she has captured. On the contrary. I've worked in the entertainment and modeling industries for years and rarely have I seen more artful photographs. Working firsthand with the products, I would gladly attest to their quality. But quite frankly, I didn't want to relive some of the memories.

 

Quando Lynn Sanders mi chiese di descrivere cosa significasse lavorare per lei, per il suo catalogo Romantic by Design, mi prese l’ansia.

Non che non sia orgoglioso delle bellissime immagini che ha catturato. Al contrario. Ho lavorato nell’industria dell’intrattenimento e della fotografia  per anni e raramente ho visto fotografie altrettanto artistiche.

Lavorando di prima mano con il prodotto, direi che sono decisamente di qualità. Ma, francamente, non vorrei rivivere alcuni dei miei ricordi.

You see, in the last three years I've been stabbed at, cut at, frozen, at the mercy of wild animals, nearly drowned (more than once), plagued by insects, burned, jeered at and generally pushed to the point of complete exhaustion. I have the scars (and photos) to prove it. I've also developed awe for the men at Isandhlwana, the Charge of the Light Brigade, Custer's Last Stand and any of the other battles that have forced a fighter to overcome the instinct to flee from danger in order to get the job done.
Lynn is the embodiment of friendly, down-home charm, but when a camera enters her hand an unexpected change occurs. Awash with confidence, she's infused with a gung-ho, "charge-up-the-hill" attitude that I imagine David must have had as he approached Goliath. Some would say this change is amusing. That's true–except when it's aimed at you.

 

Vedete, negli ultimi tre anni, sono stato pugnalato, tagliuzzato, congelato, lasciato alla mercé di animali selvatici, quasi annegato (più di una volta), tormentato dagli insetti, bruciato, canzonato e generalmente spinto alla soglia dell’esaurimento completo. Ho cicatrici (e foto) che lo provano. Ho anche sviluppato un’ammirazione per gli uomini della Light Brigade, durante la carica a Isandhlwana, l’ultima azione di Custer, o quelli di altre battaglie che hanno dovuto superare l’istinto di scappare dal pericolo per portare a termine il loro lavoro.

Lynn è la personificazione del fascino amichevole e alla mano, ma quando prende in mano una macchina fotografica, si verifica un cambiamento inaspettato. Inondata di fiducia e di entusiasmo, assume l’atteggiamento da “conquista la collina” che Davide deve aver avuto nell’avvicinarsi a Golia. Qualcuno direbbe che questo cambiamento è divertente. E’ vero, a meno che tu non sia il suo bersaglio.

Ms. Sanders (as I call her when I'm begging for mercy) will stop at nothing to get photographs. That includes dunking me in Illinois' frozen Rock River when I was clad in a suit of full plate armor and chainmail or urging me to stand for hours in the rattlesnake-festooned wilds of central Texas with nothing but a loin cloth between my tender parts and swarms of hungry mosquitoes. I've heard the adage that one should suffer for one's art, but I had assumed that meant losing sleep and skipping meals–not risking life and limb.
I was overjoyed when Lynn gathered the Heroes of the Heart, men from across the country who are featured in the Romantic by Design catalog. I thought this meant a reprieve from the grueling schedule of photo sessions. After all, more models (i.e. targets) would surely keep Lynn busy.

 

Mr. Sanders (come la chiamo quando sto implorando pietà) non si ferma davanti a niente per sccattare una fotografia. E questo include farmi inzuppare nel fiume ghiacciato Rock River dell’Illinois mentre indosso un costume in armatura e di maglia di ferro, o obbligandomi a stare in piedi per ore nel centro selvaggio e infestato di serpenti del Texas con niente addosso tranne un perizoma per mie parti intime e uno sciame di zanzare affamate.  Conoscevo il detto che bisogna soffrire per andare avanti nel mondo dell’arte, ma pensavo significasse dormire poco e saltare i pasti – non rischiare di rimetterci un braccio o una gamba, o addirittura la pelle.

Fui felicissimo quando Lynn iniziò a preparare Heroes of the Heart, uomini di tutto il paese ritratti nel catalogo Romantic by Design. Pensavo che questo significasse una tregua dalla crudele programmazione di sessioni fotografiche. Dopotutto, più modelli (e vittime) avrebbero sicuramente tenuto Lynn impegnata.

 

 

 


Alas, I underestimated her energy. Romantic by Design features, among other things, a gallery section that offers 37 hand-painted photographs of the Heroes. Most of my female friends use words like "hot" or "sexy" when describing the gallery, but all that comes to my mind are phrases like "18-hour days," "red-eye flights" and "never mind the fire ants, stand still while I get this light reading." I take a certain measure of comfort in knowing that my fate is shared by the six other Heroes of the Heart.(excerpt from RT website)
 

Ahimè, avevo sottovalutato la sua energia. Romantic by Design presenta, tra le altre cose, una galleria di 37 fotografie dipinte a mano degli Eroi. Molte delle mie amiche usano le parole “bollente” o “sexy” quando descrivono la galleria, ma tutto quello che mi viene in mente sono frasi del tipo “giorni di 18 ore”, “voli con gli occhi rossi” e “non preoccuparti delle formiche rosse, stai fermo mentre preparo l’illuminazione”. Discovered years ago by Mary Anne Palumbo, publicity director of Penguin USA, Steve has matured into her dream of The Topaz Man, America's boy next door.  When he was brought to New York his photo was chosen from all the possible candidates and was called for an interview. Mary Anne was considering a television actor o someone easily identifiable but she chose him instead!

 

Scoperto alcuni anni fa da MaryAnne Palumbo, direttore pubblicitario della Penguin, USA, Steve è diventato per lei il simbolo dell’Uomo Topaz, il ragazzo americano della porta accanto. Quando fu portato a NewYork, la sua foto venne scelta tra tutti i possibili candidati e fu chiamato per un’intervista.  Mary Anne stava considerando un attore televisivo, o comunque qualcuno facilmente identificabile, invece scelse lui!

 

A high- energy non-stop promotional campaign was created to introduce Steve to the public. It worked beautifully, and now he's a household name. For the publicity launch he appeared on approximately eight Topaz covers a month, special bookmarks and a calendar displaying all his charms, and popping up on countless TV news and talk shows such as "Entertainment Tonight," "Access Hollywood," "Geraldo," "Leeza," "Joan Rivers," "Hard Copy," "Donahue" and more.

"Star Search" invited him to be a candidate for their male model competition, and guess what? He won! As if that wasn't enough, Steve devoted part of this past summer to getting in shape for the 1995 Mr. Hercules Body Building Competition where once again he triumphed.

Steve also completed a role hewing fairly close to his roots. In the independent film "Christmas in the Clouds," he had a cameo role as, literally, a dream come true - Steve played Buffalo Thunder, a Native American character portrayed in a romance novel the lead actress (Sheila Tousey) was reading.

"Christmas" was filmed in Sundance, Utah (site of the famous film festival) in November 1997

TALL, DARK and HANDSOME. How many men can we think of that fall under that category? When it comes to Rob Ashton, it's clearly an understatement.
Rob Ashton is a 6 ft. male, black hair, hazel green eyes, 197 lbs., who has a heart of gold (a real soft spot for causes I believe in!) and really enjoys talking and spending time with friends. He first started modeling at age 19 when Mary Lou [Rob's first booking agent] saw him on a beach in Florida.
A couple weeks later he called her, built his book over time, and went to his first real consistent job in Japan for two months. The most interesting job he had over there was for Adidas.
For the past couple of years, Rob has been out of the spotlight, preferring to keep his life private. He has definitely gone through many changes and is still developing and growing in new directions. When we spoke, Rob discussed his new faith and his plans to return to modeling. It was an interesting conversation and gave some insight into a complex and ever changing man. One who is funny, generous and always appealing to women!
 
Alto, scuro e bello. Quanti uomini possono rientrari in questa categoria? Quando si tratta di Rob Ashton è chiaramente un eufemismo. Non solo Rob è bello, affascinante e modesto, ma è anche intenso nel guardare e sentire.

RT: What has occurred in your life to create the man you are today?
Cosa è accaduto nella tua vita che ha fatto di te l’uomo che sei?

RA: I spent about 12 years traveling, trying to "find myself," and what I found is that it's all really on the inside. I had to want to change myself, to have positive thoughts. I believe that my attitude actually influences reality. Of course, it takes belief and perseverance. Now I realize how much family means, how important friends are, and that every day everyone gets the same reward: 24 hours each. It's all in how you spend it!
 
Ho passato 12 anni a viagiare, cercando di trovare me stesso, e quello che ho trovato è veramente quello che sono dentro. Ho dovuto cambiare, pensare in positivo. Penso che il mio comportamento possa davvero influenzare la realtà. Naturalmente, ci vogliono fede e perseveranza. Ora mi accorgo di quanto significhi la famiglia, di quanto importanti gli amici siano, e che ogni giorno ci dà la stessa ricompensa : 24 ore ciascuno. Tutto sta a come le passi!

RT: Who has made the most impact on your life and why?
Chi ha avuto peso maggiore nella tua vita e perché?

RA: My dad has made the most impact because I have a lot of respect for him. He raised a family while in college on a football scholarship, going to class, school and working a job with long hours to support his family. It takes a lot to go on like that for 16 hours a day for years! He is always positive and such a motivated person. We currently share a hobby, riding motorcycles, and although I can't go too far because of my knee injury, I still really enjoy the occasional ride with the sun shining and the wind blowing on the open road.
 
Mio padre, perché lo rispetto molto. Ha mantenuto una famiglia studiando e lavorando a tempo pieno. Ci vuole molto per andare avanti così per 16 ore al giorno per anni! Lui è sempre positivo e motivato. In questo momento dividiamo un hobby, andiamo in motocicletta e anche se io non posso andare molto lontano a causa del mio incidente al ginocchio, mi piace farlo occasionalmente, sotto il sole e con il vento che soffia sulla strada.
 
RT: How important is friendship to you?
Quanto è importante l’amicizia per te?

RA: Very! There's God, then family, then friends! The true ones are there no matter what, and I've seen both types, as we all have. I'd say that over the last year I've learned a lot about being a friend first, forgiving no matter what, and just knowing that all is good. My circumstances no longer dictate my mood; rather, I choose to be happy every day, because the peaks and valleys are all small stuff in the grand picture.
 
Molto! C’è Dio, poi viene la famiglia, e poi gli amici! Quelli veri ci sono sempre, e ho visto entrambi i tipi, come tutti. Direi che nell’ultimo anno ho imparato molto sull’amicizia, a perdonare in ogni caso, e sapere solo che tutto è a posto. Le circostanze non determinano più il mio stato d’animo; invece, scelgo di essere felice ogni giorno, perché gli alti e i bassi sono dettagli nel quadro generale.

 


RT: Do you believe in Fate? Destiny? That all things happen for a reason?

Credi nel destino? Che tutto accade per una ragione?

RA: Yes, I do! I believe that destiny and free will actually coexist at the same time and that everything we do is part of our destiny. We are all here for a reason, and we repeat behaviors to learn from them and grow. I believe there's a lot more to this life than just what's seen, and as I grow, I find that my priorities have changed and that there are some truths that are as real as gravity, although unseen; there are laws of the universe that apply to us all. For example, what you put out comes back to you even more, so.
 
Sì! Credo che destino e libero arbitrio coesistano, e che tutto ciò che facciamo fa parte del nostro destino. Siamo tutti qui per una ragione, e ci impegnamo per imparare e crescere. Credo che ci sia molto di più in questa vita di quanto non sia dato a a vedere, e crescendo, trovo che le mie priorità sono cambiate e che ci sono alcune verità che sono reali quanto la gravità, anche se invisibili; ci sono leggi dell’universo che si applicano a tutti. STEFAN ANDREAS SCHWARZE

 

Born to German immigrants on October 28, 1970 in Queens, NY, Stefan's first years were spent in Germany where his parents returned to be with family after his birth. Upon their return to the states three years later, he began to learn English as a second language. This language barrier led to a very introverted childhood. Stefan pursued swimming, running, karate. At an early age he fell in love with Errol Flynn movies.
 
Nato da immigrati tedeschi il 28 Ottobre 1970 nel Queens, NY. Il primo anno Stefan lo passa in Germania, dove i suoi genitori erano tornati in visita ai parenti dopo la sua nascita. Una volta tornati negli States, un anno dopo, inizia ad imparare l’inglese come seconda lingua. La barriera della lingua è la causa della sua infanzia molto introversa; faceva nuoto, corsa, karate. E da giovanissimo si innamora dei films di Errol Flynn.
 
At 14, he saw Arnold Schwarzenegger for the first time in 'Conan the Barbarian'. This new role model led to an obsession with bodybuilding and what it could do for his skinny kid body. He eagerly studied everything he could about building his physique. His continued interest in bodybuilding led him to compete in three All-Natural(no steroids) competitions at the age of 18, culminating with a 3rd place win in the New York State Bodybuilding Championships.
 
A 14 anni, vede per la prima volta Arnold Schwarzenegger in “Conan il Barbaro”, e si convince che il bodybuilding può fare qualcosa per il suo fisico molto magro. Studia tutto quello ciò che può modellare il suo fisico, e il continuo interesse nel bodybuilding lo porta a partecipare a tre competizioni All-Natural (senza uso di steroidi) all’età di 18 anni, culminanti con un terzo posto vinto al Campionato di Bodybuilding dello stato di NY.
 
At 21, Stefan realized there was more to life than just bodybuilding. He began to explore activities that challenged him in other ways and discovered his newest obsessions, chess and surfing, both of which he still avidly pursues today. His interest in bodybuilding evolved into working as a personal trainer at a small gym.
 
A 21 anni Stefan si accorge che nella vita non c’è solo il bodybuilding. Inizia a esplorare altre attività e scopre una passione per gli scacchi e il surfing, che persistono tuttora. L’interesse nel bodybuilding si evolve e diventa un lavoro come personal trainer in una piccola palestra.

The idea of owning the gym so intrigued him that after much research and with a lot of nerve, he was able to secure a small business loan and purchase the gym with a friend. Nine months later their partnership parted ways. Stefan became the sole proprietor of the gym in 1994. With very little capital and the drive to succeed instilled in him by his parents, he began to renovate the run down gym himself, learning along the way to be his own electrician, lay his own ceramic tile, etc. This experience had a lasting influence, teaching him that anything in life was within reach.
 
L’idea di possedere una palestra lo attira e dopo molte ricerche riesce ad acquistarne una insieme a un amico. Nove mesi dopo la società si divide e Stefan rimane solo proprietario della palestra nel 1994. Con un piccolo capitale inizia a condurla personalmente, imparando a diventare l’elettricista di se stesso e a fare tanti altri lavori. Un’esperienza questa che gli ha insegnato che nella vita ogni cosa è a portata di mano.

His start as a cover model came with an introduction from an artist friend, and he was soon working steadily, and exclusively, posing for romance covers. He's never had an agency to represent him. Four years and hundreds of covers later, he attributes his success to always saying yes and always being on time.
 
Inizia a posare come modello grazie all’aiuto di un amico artista, e presto inizia a lavorare stabilmente e esclusivamente come modello di romance, senza essere rappresentato da alcun agente. Now, as he gets more acting work, he'll continue modeling for covers, but only part-time.
 
John ha iniziato a posare per le copertine nei prime anni del 90, e ne aveva fatte 50 prima di essere eletto Mr Romance nel 1994. La vittoria ha fatto si che la sua carriera decollasse. Attualmente si dedica di più alla recitazione, e continua a posare per le copertine solo part-time.

FABIO

E’ considerato il re dei Romance.
La leggenda nasce il 15 marzo del 1961 a Milano, e di certo la sua famiglia non aveva alcuna idea che i suoi fluenti capelli biondi e occhi azzurri avrebbero avuto così tanto successo in America.
Dopo aver adempiuto al servizio militare in Italia, Fabio inizia a posare come modello per alcuni stilisti, ma ha un fisico troppo muscoloso per i vestiti che indossa. Quindi, seguendo il consiglio di un amico, si trasferisce negli States dove diventa popolare come modello GAP e di abbigliamento sportivo.
 
Ma è il mondo del romance a far decollare la carriera di Fabio.
Inizia con lo posare per le copertina di romanzi fantasy, fino a quando la bravissima artista Elaine Duillo scopre alcune sue foto e ne riconosce il forte sex-appeal. Dipinge le prime due copertine di romance:  ENCHANTRESS MINE, di Bertrice Small, e HEARTS AFLAME di Johanna Lindsey. Da qui, Fabio diviene il simbolo dei Romance, al punto che non si può prendere in mano un romance senza che sulla copertina appaia il suo volto.

 

 

Alcune sue copertine celebri, che hanno fatto incrementare le vendite di tali libri del 40 percento, sono The shadow and the star e The Prince of Midnight di Laura Kinsale, i romanzi di Johanna Lindsey e moltissimi altri. Dal 1985 Fabio al suo attivo migliaia di copertine, dal pirata al gentiluomo, appare sempre l’eroe perfetto.
E nell’Ottobre del 1993, Kensington pubblica il primo romance firmato da un uomo, PIRATE by Fabio,  scritto in inglese dall’autrice Eugenia Riley basandosi sulle cassette in italiano di Fabio. Pirate sarà seguito da Viking, Rogue, Wild, Mysterious, Comanche, Champion.
 
 
He’s know as the King of Romance.
The legend was born on March 15, 1961, and his family had no idea the furor his golden hair and blue eyes would cause. After serving a mandatory stint in the Italian Army, Fabio began modeling for top designers, but his muscular physique was too large for the clothes he wore. Following a friend’s advice, he moved to the States where he bacame a popular model for GAP ads and many sportswear designers.

Though it was the world of romance that would skyrocket Fabio's career.
He began posing for fantasy novel covers first, then, the wonderful illustrator Elaine Duillo discovered his photos and recognized Fabio's appeal. She painted his first two covers, ENCHANTRESS MINE by Bertrice Small and Johanna Lindsey's HEARTS AFLAME.
These led to assignments that would make Fabio a household name. His name became synonymous with romance and it was soon impossible to pick up a romance novel that didn't bear his handsome face.
Some of his famous covers, which raised books sales by up to 40 percent, are The Shadow and the Star and The Prince of Midnight by Laura Kinsale, besides Johanna Lindsey’ s books and many others. Since 1985 Fabio's famous features have adorned the covers of thousands of books. From the dangerous pirate to the southern genteel, Fabio is always the perfect hero of choice.
In October 1993, Kensington published the first romance novel written by a man in his own name, PIRATE by Fabio. Veteran author Eugenia Riley took Fabio's tape-recorded tales (in romantic Italian, of course) and transcribed them into English text. Pirate was followed by Viking, Rogue, Wild, Mysterious, Comanche, Champion.
